How do you know they are learning Geography?

How do you know they are learning Geography?

It was bedtime after a long day of “forced” schooling here at the sandbox.

“Hey Mom, who are Lego’s Indiana Jones neighbors?”

Confused but I will take the bait…”I don’t know son who?”
“Illinois Jones and Ohio Jones”
He did it without the map…he got it!!!!!

Getting back into the swim of things....

It has been a long character building nine months. We have experienced a lot and learned a lot about life and ourselves. As a family we are figuring out a new normal and can get back to the basics in life like a regular school schedule which will include blogging.

Thank you for your prayers and support. Blessings...

Today we celebrate and mourn

Last year we did a detailed study of Dr. King. This year the holiday finds us celebrating the homecoming our dearly loved Grandma. She has gone to be with her husband Rev. Dr. Grandpa a mere six months after his departure.

Right now it just seems surreal. Grandma is so full of life. She was always on the go, always helping someone else and always tried to smile. I miss her voice. I miss her presence. I am feeling a little selfish right now because I miss her so much.

I celebrated 21 birthdays before I met my birthday buddy, but this year it will seem not so happy without that early morning call.
